In honor of her departed “Gran Gran Dolly” who died earlier in the year, Rihanna got a tattoo of the Goddess Isis that covers the entire area under her breasts.

She tweeted out the picture of her tattoo, followed by this comment: “Goddess Isis- Complete Woman – Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY – always in and on my heart #1love.”

Some fans think it’s weird, others think it’s not. Whatever your thoughts are, Rihanna doesn’t seem to care as she is proud of her fresh ink.

Nasarawa State Governor’s convoy fatal auto crash leaves 3 dead

The convoy of Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State, was involved in a fatal accident yesterday evening along the Nasarawa-Tooto highway road. The unfortunate incident left 3 political aides of the governor dead.

The accident which occurred around 5pm yesterday involved a government Toyota Hilux and a truck. Three occupants in the Hilux car, including the governor's personal assistant, who is also his nephew, died on the spot.

NOA honour the 7 police officers who investigated Cynthia's murder

The National Orientation Agency on Friday September 21st honoured the seven police who investigated and arrested the men who murdered Cynthia Osokogu in a hotel in Festac in July 2012.

The seven police officers - ACP Damien Okoro, the Area Commander 'Festac', DSP Imoh Gregory, Woman ASP Mariam Ogunmolasuyi, ASP Agbaje Yakubu, Inspector Edo Joseph, Woman Sergeant Patience Biokoro and Sergeant Frank Okorobon all of Area 'E' Festac, Lagos, were awarded 'NOA Civic Recognition Award'.

The director general of NOA said the agency decided to honour the police officers because they did an excellent job. The DG said:

The whole nation was gripped with anger, fear and rage when this ugly, unfortunate incident occurred. These patriotic officers stuck out their necks to unravel the mystery. What you did restored Nigeria to the rest of the civilized world. You also restored some sort of succour to the family by arresting those that committed the dastardly act. When people are making such efforts, you must tell them they are doing well. It is for this reason we are recognizing you".

Well, it's their job , but maybe in Nigeria police officers need this kind of award to encourage them to do their jobs properly!

Oluwatoniloba David Obafemi was kidnapped by Comfort Amos on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at RCCG, Central Parish, Aminu Kano Crescent, Wuse II, Abuja.

Comfort Amos is a member of the church choir where Timothy Taiwo Obafemi (Toni's Father) is the Deputy HOD of the choir.

Comfort Amos unusually sat where the nursing mothers sat in church on Sunday and particularly sat beside Mariah Toyin Obafemi (Toni's mother), who is also a Sunday School teacher.

Lagos State Teachers go on Strike

Lagos teachers begin strike today Teachers in Lagos state public primary and secondary schools have begun their statewide strike action today. The teachers vowed to go ahead with the strike since the state government had failed to meet their demands. Their demand? The teachers are asking the state government to implement the 27.5 percent Teachers Salary Structure (TSS) which was an agreement between the Governors' Forum and the National body of the NUT. They plan to stay at home until their demands are met.

Suicide Bomber Kills Six, Injures 50 Worshippers In Bauchi Catholic Church.

SaharaReporters has learnt that a lone suicide bomber driving an Opel Vectra rammed into the gates of St. John's Catholic Cathedral in the Batyan Gari area of Bauchi, instantly killing at least 6 persons.

  One source disclosed that some 50 people were injured in the brazen attack that took place during an early morning mass.
Eyewitnesses told SaharaReporters that the attacker detonated the explosively rigged car outside the church premises shortly after 9 a.m. (Nigerian time). The Opel Vectra model is widely used as taxi cabs in Bauchi, the capital of Bauchi State.
Soon after the bombing, Nigerian troops arrived and cordoned off the scene of the attack, preventing reporters from gaining access to it. An emergency official who participated in search and rescue operations said he counted six dead bodies. But he also indicated that many of the injuries were so severe that he expected the number of the dead to increase sharply.
The bombing bore the signature of the extremist Islamist group, Boko Haram. Based in northern Nigeria, the group had been responsible for several previous attacks on worshippers in various parts of the North, including Abuja, Kaduna, Madalla and Zaria. However, no group had claimed responsibility for the attack as at the time of going to press.

The husband of one of Nigeria’s hottest and most beautiful actresses, Omotola Jalade- Ekehinde, Captain Matthew Ekehinde has been thrown into the labour market.

Captain Matthew was among the 800 staffs relieved of their duties by the CEO of Air Nigeria, Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim few weeks ago over what he called disloyal and lack of commitment to the company.

However, we gathered that the father of four is seriously searching for a new job as at the time we are filing this report.

It is still sketchy where the light skinned pilot will be heading to, but an insider squealed that he is working so hard to get a new job at the troubled Arik Airline or better still, a very reliable foreign carrier that is ready to agree to his terms and conditions.

A call and text message put through to his wife over his husband’s current state is yet to be replied.

Captain Matthew, according to some of his friends is very diligent and committed to his work, but has been very unlucky with most of the airlines he had worked with.

It would be recalled the pilot had worked with the defunct airlines; Skyline and Sosoliso before joining Air Nigeria few years ago.

Baby Kelechi's father squanders money raised for his treatment

Little baby Kelechi is sick, he has a hole in his heart and his left hand is paralyzed, some few months ago, news was posted everywhere about the boy's sickness and people were urged to come to his aid, so that the lil boy will be flown to India for treatment and people complied to that.

But the people in charge of the cause just sent a really bad news to the world. The money for the boy's treatment was raised through Kelechi's father's account and from what's going on now, the man (Kelechi's father)squandered the money...all of it!. He has been arrested and currently at Ikoyi Prison pending when he's able to post N500k bail. The Commissioner of Police signed the petition against him through the PPRO's office. He will be charged to court soon.


Now am sure u all are like 'what kind of nonchalant father will do that to his very own child' right? and you know the saddest part of the story is that the kid is still suffering from his illness, no treatment has been rendered to him yet......how callous people can get.

Last week someone called me and was offering me 5, 000 job vacancies. We are going to have a website where people can upload their CVs. I don’t need to know you; I don’t need to know your face. Just go there, if you qualify for that job, apply for it and be sure that you will be called up for an interview.

 We are not bringing anything new. We are not trying to do something that has never been done before. But we are going to build on existing structure and strengthen the labour laws of this country in such a way that we will do away with bottle-necks.

We don’t need anybody asking any Nigerians for a note to get a job from anybody. We will work closely with the National Bureau of Statistics to get appropriate data of unemployed Nigerians.

Ugo Ozuah shot dead by police 5days after his wedding

Ugo Ozuah was allegedly shot by men of the Nigerian police force in front of the UPS office on the Gbagada Express way on Thursday September 20th. He died early this morning at a hospital in Lagos. Ugo just got married last Saturday September 15th, 2012.

Details as to what really happened that Thursday night are sketchy but according to friends of the late
 businessman, he was at the expressway with another friend trying to flag down a taxi around 9 at night, when policemen pulled up and shot him twice in the chest at close range. They said he was not resisting arrest, he wasn't arguing with the police, he was not asked to identify himself, he was just standing there with a friend and got killed for no reason.
like what kind of nonsense is this?.....no reason at all and he was just shot dead
The Police IG said the people who killed Ugo were no policemen, so how come they were on a police uniform?
